Oh my god. I think I'm going to need me one of those. Seriously. Is there no LIMIT to the fabulousness to be had in this world? (Well other than our ability to store the stuff?)
What's weird--and this will probably sound untruthful--is I'm not a believer in excess, especially now that some of my favorite things have gone from ten bucks to a hundred. I just have so much loooooove. And appreciation. And, yes, storage space for all the crap I love and appreciate. You should see the closet in that room.
Wow, can I borrow one of those robes right now? It's in the '60's here and La Diva is a bit chilled. They look so comfy!
I used to be like you and collect tons of vintage stuff, postcards, dishes, tea cups, lamps, blah, blah, blah... but then moved around the world a few times and found it difficult and expensive to pack, cart and store them all! Now I "collect" vicariously through people like you! Thanks so much, Wendy!
See, that's the thing. What happens when you have to get rid of it? There's no way I can take it all with me when we downsize. Which, hopefully, won't be for a while, but, still, it's gonna be painful to sell it off.
