Black Velvet Purse with Flower Pot

Black Velvet Purse with Flower Pot. 1960s. Maker Unknown (Possibly Jolles Original). Wonderful black velvet Kelly-style handbag with ornately appliqued flower pot. Pot itself is raised and covered with black and gold seed beads and gold trim at the top. Flowers are bold magenta with green leaves. Purse frame is goldtone and is embellished with tiny metal roses. Black plastic handle. Lined in black. Two pockets, one that zips. Four goldtone feet.

Now check this out. Here’s another purse I have that’s very similar, but has the Jolles Original label. I don’t know if the label fell out of (or was removed from) the magenta one, or if it’s a great copy, but I suspect the latter.
